The new edition of popular digital art magazine ImagineFX is making it way across the nation to it’s subscribers and will soon be available to purchase at all good newsagents!

This months mag has gone TRON-tastic starting with a flashy cover image by EXPOSÉ 8 cover artist Marek Okon, followed by a four page interview with TRON:Legacy vehical artist Daniel Simon. Daniel shares his experiences working (and re-working) this winters blockbuster movie. Phil Saunders chimes in with a quick chat about designing the costumes for the film.

Diosdado Mondero is the latest artists to bare all and show us their studio set-up in the latest ’Artist in Residence’ feature. Mondero has converted his basement into a place that most artists would kill for! A fantastic setup of iMac, Cintique, drawing board an Eisle all surrounded by toys, figures, guitars and an ever expanding collection of books. Prepare to do green with envy!

January’s main features include a six-page delve into the surreal world of art legend Moebius, who actually worked alongside Syd Mead on the original TRON movie way back in 1982 followed by a ‘A-Z of Sci-Fi art’ which take a look at how different artists tackle some sci-fi cliches. The TRON-fest comes to a climax with a wicked 4 page light-cycle tutorial. Chee Ming Wong guides you though the process of designing a lightcycle and painting the perfect electric backdrop for your new creation to streak through.

Other Workshops include a Painter & Photoshop based sci-fi scene by illustrator Patrick J Jones and a dino based digital painting by Peter Oedekoven, both of which have accompaning video files to help you along.
