Syd Mead Announces Sentury II Art Book

World renowned artist and ‘Visual Futurist’ Syd Mead has announced the release of Sentury II, the highly anticipate follow up to 2001′s Sentury (a now out of print and highly sought after item).
Mead is a prolific artist, working in many areas such as architecture, feature film (Tron, Bladerunner), industrial design and automotive design to name a few. Details on what will be included are limited at this point in time, but its safe to say (based on all off his earlier publications) that this 176 page book will be packed full of stunning artwork and designs for a not-so-distant Future.
The official release date has been set for October 1, 2010, but the book is currently available for pre-order through Amazon.

Dan ‘adonihs’ Luvisi Releases L.M.S. Art Book

Up and coming digital artist Dan Luvisi, (or ‘adonihs’ on the deviantART community) has released his first art book.
Two and a half years in the making, Last Man Standing: Killbook of a Bounty Hunter is finally available for pre-order. The 230 page book serves as a prologue to the L.M.S. graphic novel series. Introducing the the main protagonist, Gabriel along with a host of sexy and deadly, ass-kicking characters.
The book is available in three editions exclusively through HeavyMetal.com: Limited Edition Hardback (comes with signed art print), Hardback and Softcover.
The Limited edition is only available to order until May 1st, so hurry if you want to grab a copy!
*UPDATE* According to HeavyMetal.com, the book has been delayed due to printing problems. As a result the ship date is now expected to be around September 2010.
On the positive side, the delay has allowed Luvisi to add extra art work and info that, due to the initial deadline was never included.
